About The Role

We’re currently looking for an Engineering Stores & Systems Administrator / Planner to join our Gadbrook manufacturing site in Northwich, Cheshire. Reporting to the Shift Manager Engineering, you will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production disruption. 
 
As our Engineering Stores & Systems Administrator, you'll be at the heart of our engineering department, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Managing the day to day operations of the engineering stores, ensuring parts and materials are stocked, tracked and available when needed
  • Serving as the administrator for our CMMS, ensuring accurate data input, system maintenance and reporting
  • Overseeing contractor tracking database, ensuring compliance
  • Monitoring and tracking the engineering budget, helping the team stay on top of spending and forecasting 
  • Providing general administrative support to the engineering team, including document control, scheduling and system updates
  • You will also ensure that the layout and order of the Engineering Store is optimised to ensure that held spares can be located within 90 seconds

About You

We're looking for someone who can bring structure and efficiency to our engineering team. To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and general IT competency 
  • Experience in Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Inventory Optimisation/Control
  • Ability to understand engineering terminology and common asset types
  • Capable of identifying common engineering parts (ideally within a food manufacturing environment)
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • A proactive mindset with great attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams and with contractors

Our purpose-built facility in Gadbrook manufactures, packs and distributes vegetables all from under one roof.

Here at our vegetable pack house, we prepare 29.5 million packs of potatoes and 120,000 tonnes of carrots every year, our 250 colleagues work a 6 day operation, getting everything ready for 90 of our stores.
