About The Role

Passionate about manufacturing fresh fish & seafood and with a manufacturing operation as pacey and complex as ours, it's key we have a strong Production team who are on the ball and are able to keep up to the demands of the site. It's down to them to ensure our manufacturing operation runs smoothly, ensuring we deliver great quality products to our customers, on time. It's demanding, pacey and ever-changing. Reporting into the Production / Operations Manager, you will manage a team of Team Managers who are responsible for a large number of operators and technicians.

You will also be responsible for:

Managing all day-to-day operations within the Seafood processing plant, ensuring efficient production and adherence to strict quality and food safety standards.
Managing & monitoring KPIs, set performance targets, review progress, and implement action plans to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain industry-leading standards
Ensuring the Health & Safety of all colleagues whilst maintaining and making improvements in all areas
Identify opportunities for improvement within the process and implement strategies to drive continuous enhancements in both processes and product quality
Maximising profits and drive performance improvement
Mentor and develop team members, providing coaching and guidance to foster professional growth.
Working with our current teams to drive the Continuous Improvement Strategy, through colleague involvement and engagement

About You

As well as the ability to work at pace, you will also need to have:

Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment (ideally within high risk)
Be Passionate about manufacturing fresh fish & seafood
Able to effect & support change within a fast paced environment
A proven track record of people management and delivering strong results through a team in a people management role
Excellent communication skills
Assertiveness with the ability to make decisions on the spot
A can do attitude and a strong work ethic
An understanding of cost models and experience of budgetary control and understand pest control management.

About Us Description:

At our two seafood processing sites close to the docks in Grimsby our 380 colleagues prepare our fresh fish and shellfish.

Using state-of-the-art tech including live dashboards to work faster and smarter, our team supplies 110 different products including salmon, cod, haddock, mackerel and our own smoked salmon. Covering 14,000 square feet between them, our sites produce 1,812 tonnes of shellfish and surimi and supply 28 million packs of pre-packed fish and seafood a year.
