About The Role

We have a unique opportunity for a Regional Estates Surveyor to join the team, covering the South West in this instance and ideally residing in or near to Gloucestershire.

The individual will support the Senior Estates Manager in delivering an efficient and effective Estates Management service across the operational portfolio.

The individual will be responsible for all property matters within a set geographic area including rent reviews, service charge, lettings, lease renewals and identifying opportunities to add value and enhance the portfolio.

We are looking for individuals with good communication skills, who will be confident operating in a  collaborative cross-functional environment with opportunities to engage with multiple stakeholders in the Retail, Finance and Maintenance teams along with external consultants, professional advisers and landlords

Role responsibilities:

 

  • Responsibility for a portfolio of around 250 stores

  • Landlord and tenant relationship negotiating and documenting lease events

  • Sub tenant portfolio management

  • Exercise commercial judgement to resolve day-to-day property management issues within delegated authority levels.

  • Develop relationships with other Property Departments (Implementation & Maintenance)

  • Drive successful relationships with Regional Operational Managers to become a primary point of contact in Property

About You

  • Preferably Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - not essential 

  • Knowledge of the Landlord & Tenant Act Legislation

  • Knowledge of the Town & Country Planning Legislation

  • >2 years commercial experience

  • Contract negotiation experience

  • Ability to take on new information, adapt style and develop new ways of working.

  • The ability to influence others and build effective networks. 

  • A structured and process driven approach to planning and organising work. 

  • Confidence and maturity to take commercial decisions

  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to negotiate and influence a range of stakeholders and challenge the norm
