Role: Quality Control Inspector

About the Role:


Are you detail-oriented with a passion for maintaining high standards? We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Control Inspector to join our warehouse team! In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, inspecting incoming products to ensure they meet our strict quality standards before they’re ready for distribution. Our sites are super busy, ever-demanding and our standards are high - keeping our Technical team busy every day.

 

In this crucial role, you will focus on the inspection and quality assurance of incoming goods, ensuring that our supply chain maintains its reputation for excellence and reliability. If you are passionate about quality control and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! This is a hands-on role, working in our warehouses checking incoming products to ensure it's ready to be distributed. You will mainly be working with fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables but experience with other food products would be beneficial. 

 

Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will:

  • Carry out inspection of incoming product in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures

  • Challenge quality at all times

  • Report all inspections and quality measurement results clearly, accurately, in-line with specification and on time

  • Undertake supplier and store visits both announced and unannounced

  • Communicate what’s new in QA to RDC operations/leadership team

  • Oversee internal and external calibration of equipment


About You

As well as strong decision making and a keen eye for detail you will also need:

  • The confidence to challenge with a proactive and ‘can do’ attitude

  • To be a team player and an effective communicator 

  • Good PC skills (especially Google)

  • Food experience in a technical / quality role

  • A HACCP qualification or a food safety qualification (ideally)
