About The Role

As a Manufacturing Accountant within one of our core food processing sites, you will make a significant contribution to localised finance operations, helping to make key financial decisions. Our Woodheads operation (comprising of Colne, Spalding and Turriff) supplies the majority of British meat to our Farmers Boy site, including the highest quality beef, pork and lamb. 


Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and posting accruals, prepayments and adjustment journals

  • Ensuring the application of operational and financial controls, for example balance sheet reconciliation preparation

  • Conducting analysis and processing activities in line with role requirements

  • Managing the weekly performance reporting process for Manufacturing sites, working closely with site finance teams

  • Preparing period end management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations, in line with role requirements

  • An accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent

  • Resilience and the ability to adapt in an ever changing environment
  • Attention to detail skills
