About The Role

Morrisons is recruiting for a Finance Manager to provide critical finance support to our Logistics business area - working closely with both internal and external stakeholders of the business.

You'll be responsible for:

● Working closely with the regional and site managers, as well as external stakeholders, on budgeting, forecasting and reviewing of actuals

● Support the Regional Operations Manager with updating the Logistics director on periodic and YTD performance against budget, and update outturn for remainder of the financial year

● Work closely with the productivity team to understand current and future projects, and accurately report and forecast associated performance

● Manage outturn process with logistics stakeholders, highlighting any risks and opportunities

● Period End Procedures - carry out cost reviews with the logistics teams, managing weekly performance to period outturn, and review balance sheet reconciliations.

● Manage and review the annual budget process

● Ad hoc analysis to aid decision making on potential capital expenditure projects

About You

Role Specific Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

● A professional qualification of CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent

● Knowledge of financial and management accounting

● Attention to detail

● An ability to deliver in a complex, fast paced environment

● Excellent analytical thinking and numerical skills

● Excellent Microsoft Excel or Google sheets skills

● Good verbal communication skills, ability to articulate financial data in a clear and transparent way

● Resilience and ability to adapt in an ever changing environment

● Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle

● Experience of stakeholder management

● Experience of having to prioritise to meet deadlines

● Previous experience of supporting the delivery of finance plans and budgets
