About The Role

We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Manager to join us working with the central and in-store Pharmacy teams. Reporting to the Pharmacy Area Manager, you will have every opportunity to lead and shape your Pharmacies and put them right at the heart of the store.

  • Deliver a safe and attractive pharmacy service through the in-store pharmacy teams 

  • Ensure that customer concerns & complaints are dealt with through the appropriate procedures and rectified through the Central and in-store Pharmacy teams


  • Assessing area training needs and assisting with Pharmacy colleague training & development

  • Supporting and developing relief pharmacists 

  • Maintaining skills and knowledge relating to professional, management and commercial matters

  • Provide a timely, friendly service to maintain a customer friendly environment by supporting a responsible and active sales culture within the department/cluster of stores


  • Providing specialist operational guidance to store, area, regional & the central team on professional matters and business development, capacity and capability development

  • Following policies and procedures to ensure compliance to the company security policy and ensuring that the client & company data confidentiality is maintained at all times

  • Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure Pharmacy department / cluster of stores are meeting professional & regulatory requirements, providing accurate & appropriate advice when supplying products or counselling

  • Provide Pharmacist cover in-store, maintaining day-to-day operation of individual Pharmacy departments when reasonably requested to by the Pharmacy Area Manager

Sales, Profit & Cash

  • Reinforce high professional standards, minimising waste by following correct selling & handling routines and maintain good stock control, whilst maintaining good standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

About You


  • Be a registered Pharmacist

  • In depth knowledge of the company Policy & Procedures

  • Broad Knowledge of Morrisons cultural background and store

  • Broad knowledge of Food Retail and the healthcare market

  • Broad knowledge of Health & Safety good practise


  • Planning & organisational skills

  • Highly developed influencing, facilitation and communication skills

  • Full driving licence

  • General IT skills (MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint)


  • Experience working in a retail pharmacy (preferably Morrisons)

  • Experience of delivering through a virtual team (indirect & direct management) structure
