About The Role

We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Manufacturing Finance team covering our Seafood manufacturing sites in Grimsby and Cornwall, and our egg manufacturing site in Harrogate.

The ideal candidate will be based at our Grimsby site, but a flexible working approach between Grimsby, Harrogate and our Bradford based head office would be considered. Occasional travel to Cornwall is also possible but can be completed remotely.

This role will work closely with Site Leadership teams to deliver financial control and help drive site performance.

You’ll also be responsible for the following:

  • Be proactive in identifying risks and opportunities so that managers across the business can respond to them on a timely basis.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Site Operations teams, as well as central Finance and Commercial stakeholders.

  • Support your sites in tracking all key operational metrics

  • Support your sites in building and delivering their capital plan and associated business cases. 

  • Support the weekly and periodic reporting processes - ensuring that information is correct, timely and performance drivers are understood.

  • Line management and development of team (qualified accountants and assistant accountants)

  • Drive a continuous improvement culture. Generate your own ideas for improvement and drive through to delivery.

About You

You'll ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Hold a relevant professional qualification, such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
  • An ability to deliver in a complex, fast paced environment.
  • Excellent business partnering and communications skills.
  • Excellent written communication / report writing skills. 
  • Resilience and ability to adapt in an ever changing environment.
  • Previous experience of Manufacturing would be an advantage.

New Ways of Working

The wellbeing of our colleagues is really important to us and we want everyone to have a great home and work life balance. Because of this we've introduced a four day working week for all full time colleagues based at our head office in Bradford.

You’ll be able to flex your working hours around the core hours of 10am-4pm, and can choose to do different hours each day as long as you’re covering these core hours. Each four day week will contain four average nine hour days.

To be more competitive and support our stores and sites more effectively, we now work over a six day operation, Monday to Saturday inclusive, and everyone in our head office now works one Saturday in every four (or 13 a year), albeit Saturday will be a shorter working day of 6 hours.
