About The Role
You will be expected to lead a team / manage and produce accurate and timely management accounts & information, annual budgets and analysis during the financial year. Ensure that senior management within Finance and across the business are well informed about the profit and cost drivers in their respective business areas. Improve processes and outputs through simplifying tasks.
 
You'll need to have knowledge and skills in:
 
Knowledge 
  • A professional qualification of CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, purchasing and management systems
  • Significant commercial and financial understanding
Skills
  • Stakeholder management - the ability to build and maintain networks and create a common purpose across diverse teams
  • An ability to deliver in a complex, fast paced environment
  • Leadership skills – the ability to motivate, develop and coach others to succeed, or ability and desire to develop these skills.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and excellent numerical skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel or Google sheets skills
 
About You
You'll ideally be experience in:
  • Working knowledge of document control systems and data bases such as Oracle
  • Experience of prioritising workload of self and others to meet deadlines
  • Previous experience of owning the delivery of finance
  • plans
  • Experience of leading a team (desirable)

New Ways of Working
The wellbeing of our colleagues is really important to us and we want everyone to have a great home and work life balance. Because of this we've introduced a four day working week for all full time colleagues based at our head office in Bradford.
You’ll be able to flex your working hours around the core hours of 10am-4pm, and can choose to do different hours each day as long as you’re covering these core hours. Each four day week will contain four average nine hour days.
To be more competitive and support our stores and sites more effectively, we now work over a six day operation, Monday to Saturday inclusive, and everyone in our head office now works one Saturday in every four (or 13 a year), albeit Saturday will be a shorter working day of 6 hours.
Your non-working day will need to fit in with the business needs so more information about this and which day you'd take off will be discussed at your interview.
