About The Role

An exciting modernisation and transformation journey is underway at Morrisons and our Technology teams are working together to improve how technology is used across our business as well as how we deliver it. A brand new role has been created in our Service Operations team and we’re looking for an experienced Problem Manager to lead and mature our Problem Management capability within Morrisons. 

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and improving the Problem Management process and policies, ensuring continual improvement to the service is executed. 

  • Working with our suppliers, to increase service availability and decrease risk. 

  • Leading the investigation of problems, via a root cause analysis or through proactive trend analysis and monitoring of incidents, engaging all third parties and internal resolver teams. 

  • Coordinating and managing the implementation of planned and preventative maintenance to minimise incidents.

  • Driving the best results for the business by reducing service outages and defining development plans to increase capabilities within the team. 

  • Representing Service Operations at the Architecture Review Board to ensure that problems and known errors are minimal in new products and not repeated in new versions of existing products.

  • Managing budgets and driving value through any spend.

About You

You'll ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience in driving Problem Management in a complex and fast paced environment previously. 

  • Able to build strong working relationships with 3rd party suppliers and key stakeholders across Morrisons. 

  • Able to manage and drive the performance of suppliers, including holding regular supplier reviews. 

  • A self starter who is well organised and can manage their workload effectively. 

  • Previous experience managing budgets and driving value through any spend. 

  • ITIL v3/4 foundation certified.

New Ways of Working

The wellbeing of our colleagues is really important to us and we want everyone to have a great home and work life balance. Because of this we've introduced a four day working week for all full time colleagues based at our head office in Bradford.

You’ll be able to flex your working hours around the core hours of 10am-4pm, and can choose to do different hours each day as long as you’re covering these core hours. Each four day week will contain four average nine hour days.

To be more competitive and support our stores and sites more effectively, we now work over a six day operation, Monday to Saturday inclusive, and everyone in our head office now works one Saturday in every four (or 13 a year), albeit Saturday will be a shorter working day of 6 hours.
