About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced PMO Manager to join our Technology team who are based at our head office in Bradford.

You’ll be responsible for managing the Technology Programme Management Office (PMO) team who ensure that all work is tracked and planned across the Technology function. You’ll also be responsible for driving and embedding agile ways of working as we embark on an exciting transformation journey.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing a delivery framework flexible for different ways of working whilst maintaining control. 

  • Managing the flow of work into the Technology teams and the capacity plan for the function. 

  • Leading a team of Technology Specialists within the PMO function.

  • Coordinating with and owning the relationships with 3rd party suppliers.

  • Providing and maintaining the correct delivery tooling for the function.

  • Providing management information for the company on the performance of the PMO function. 

  • Constantly reviewing opportunities for business improvement and efficiencies.

About You

You’ll ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous Programme Management Office (PMO) delivery experience.

  • An understanding and working knowledge of agile as well as waterfall delivery practices.

  • The ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to change and adapt to new ways of working.

Ways of working

The wellbeing of our colleagues is really important to us and we want everyone to have a great home and work life balance. Because of this we've introduced a four day working week for all full time colleagues based at Hilmore House in Bradford.

You’ll be able to flex your working hours around the core hours of 10am-4pm, and can choose to do different hours each day as long as you’re covering these core hours. Each four day week will contain four average nine hour days.

We've also recognised the benefits of working across six days including Saturdays. To be more competitive and support our stores and sites more effectively, we now work over a six day operation, Monday to Saturday inclusive, and everyone in Hilmore House now works one Saturday in every four (or 13 a year), albeit Saturday will be a shorter working day of 6 hours.
