As a result of growth, we are looking for an Analyst who will join our Treasury team. Located at our Head Office in Thornbury, Bradford. The successful candidate will be a professionally qualified, ideally having started or achieved a treasury qualification, with excellent attention to detail and well-developed communication and interpersonal abilities.

What this role will be doing…


The Treasury Analyst will work as part of the Group Treasury team and assist in delivery of Group Treasury policy. The Treasury Analyst will manage the daily cash and liquidity position, identify, monitor and management foreign exchange risk and supporting the energy risk management process. You will have responsibility for the following:

  • Generating daily reports to monitor and explain the actual and forecast cash position

  • Assisting with the preparation of papers for the Treasury Committee

  • Providing input on the Treasury aspects of monthly management accounts

  • Assisting in the preparation and review of annual budgets with a particular focus on cash flow

  • Assessing the foreign currency requirements across the business, identify foreign exchange risks and transact hedging

  • Assisting in the financial hedging of energy requirements in accordance with Treasury Policy and the Energy Risk Management Framework

  • Monitoring the exposure to, and credit risk of, financial institutions, and ensure that these remains with the Treasury policy limits

  • Participating in or leading projects that help improve Treasury performance

About You

So that you are set for success, we are looking for a self-starter, who is a strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels. You will work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it’s important that you are tenacious and committed. You will also have:


  • Strong understanding of financial markets, derivative instrument mechanics and valuations;

  • Experience working within a corporate or financial services treasury function either in a dealer, treasury accountant or treasury risk / consulting role;

  • Studying for, or willing to study for a Professional Qualification in Treasury (preferably AMCT);

  • Excellent data analysis skills and strong Excel skills

  • Attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines

  • Stakeholder relationship management skills (both internal and external)

  • Ability to work constructively with colleagues across the business
