About The Role

We’ve got an opportunity for a Service Delivery Technology Specialist to join our Retail Service Technology team, based at our support centre in Bradford. 

This role will involve working in a fast paced environment where you will be responsible for providing support for Technology within our retail and convenience sites.  You will work with the team proactively monitoring the service availability within Retail operations. The role requires you to gain a detailed understanding of the BAU operation and what can impact service. Stakeholder management skills are also important in this role.

Here at Morrisons you will do the following:

  • Service support with the ability to maintain SLAs 

  • Drive and escalate breached incidents and problem records 

  • Incident support & problem management 

  • Provide clear direction to support teams

  • Take ownership of issues by coordinating across multiple suppliers to resolve 

  • Identify issues and opportunities to improve processes and ways of working

  • Enable the services to grow and mature

  • Seek stakeholder engagement and build relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues

  • Ownership of incident/issue updates to business teams and sites 

  • Provide clear communications to customers (colleagues) Input into service ways of working with the Service Delivery Managers 

  • Support the business, sometimes outside of the usual core working hours for which time off in lieu will be available

  • Ensure service transition is in place to safeguard BAU operations from adverse impact of  changes

  • Manage and raise purchase orders 

  • Manage and implement small projects

About You

To succeed in the role, you should have:

  • Good planning, prioritisation and decision making skills 

  • Knowledge of Retail and convenience sites processes to be able to provide credible advice & respond (desirable) 

  • Awareness of technology (not essential to have a technology background as training will be provided) 

  • The ability to understand customers requirements and respond to their feedback 

  • The ability to deliver excellent customer service every day 

  • The ability to build relationships with stakeholders 

  • Desire to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements taking personal pride in quality

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Tenacious and resilient with a  dynamic and a ‘can do’ attitude 

  • The ability to deliver under pressure and in situations of ambiguity 

  • Good problem solving skills and ability to provide solutions 

  • Commercial understanding
