Accountant - Sales

• Responsibility for analysing Morrisons’ overall retail sales each week, picking out key insights and performance drivers, and presenting a clear and concise ‘story’ of the week back to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

• Create ad-hoc analysis and outputs that condense complex topics into actionable insights, that are communicated effectively to senior stakeholders across the business

• Analyse competitor activity in the market each week and the potential implications/links to our internal sales performance, as well as analysing quarterly external results from competitors, and reporting back to internal stakeholders

• Budgeting - Responsibility for daily & weekly budgeting, particularly in relation to trends around daily and weekly shape / events, and how we should shape our corporate sales plan accordingly

• Statutory sales reporting - Ownership of our statutory sales reporting model, presenting this back to the group CFO on a periodic basis, along with supporting quarterly packs and sales analysis for external results announcements
