Supply Chain Development Specialist

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Specialist to join the Supply Chain Development Team at our Head office in Bradford, West Yorkshire. This is a fixed term role for 12 months reporting into a Supply Chain Manager.

Working in the Supply Chain Development Team you will be responsible for enhancing our Supply Chain processes and systems through the delivery of agreed projects to provide industry leading availability for our customers, maximising our sales and reducing our costs.  Our teams benefit from working a ‘4 day week’, this hugely successful change to our working patterns has seen an enhancement in work life balance, we want you to always be ‘at your best’ so your day off will be just that, we know that our teams work hard, so want them to enjoy their 3 days off a week.

What will you do in the role of Supply Chain Specialist - Development?

• Develop new Supply Chain solutions and processes to improve customer availability and minimise costs. 
  
  

• Involvement in all aspects of the project life cycle from gathering business requirements to user acceptance testing.
  
  

• Work closely with business teams to identify improvement opportunities.
  
  

• Regular communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  

What skills and experience is required?

•  Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of operational Supply Chain and how it links with other divisions; commercial, distribution, manufacturing and stores
  
  

•  Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  
  

•  Strong communication skills, ability to engage others
  
  

•  Ability to take business strategy and develop project scope within timelines
  
  

•  Strong technical understanding with demonstrable experience of working with internal technology teams and software partners
  
  

•  Background in operational supply chain (ideally FMCG) or Food Retail
  
  

•  Previous experience of delivering process and system improvements
