About The Role

We have a fantastic opening for a Trade Planning Specialist, Core Grocery to join our large Marketing department based at Morrisons Head Office, Bradford.


This is a 9-12 month fixed term contract, however we often have opportunities across the department and wider business. Many of our permanent colleagues initially joined the business on a contract basis.


In this role you’ll be a key part of the team that ensures the customer plan across our core grocery food category is delivered in a timely and accurate manner;


  • To drive sales on all core grocery feature space on a periodic basis

  • To allow brilliant execution in store & online 

  • To facilitate communication to our customers through the most effective channels

  • To ensure decision making is led by customer insight


You’ll be responsible for supporting the planning, delivery & communication of our customer planning activity for Core Grocery.  Working closely with the commercial teams to build a customer focused trade plan, driving sales and improving the promotional offers and variety for customers. 


Always ensuring that promotions are clearly articulated to our colleagues and help to create clear guidance on how to implement the campaigns in store.


This is role operates over a four day working week*. Based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.



About You

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:


  • Experience of the commercial marketing sector

  • Experience of retail environment and ensuring compliance with policies & procedures

  • Understanding of commercial and marketing functions

  • Proven track record of delivering in a large organisation; Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Analytical and creative with Commercial and financial understanding

  • The ability to look for ways to improve customer satisfaction, profitability and productivity

  • A team player with a positive attitude

  • The ability to work under tight time constraints and reactively


Desirable

  • Ability to use specialist consumer reporting tools to aid in data led business decisions

*The four day working week comes with the requirement to work 11 Saturdays per year. These days are shorter (six hours in total) and are mainly used for personal development, quarterly team meetings and supporting our store and site colleagues.
