About The Role

Join our Wholesale Supply Chain team at Morrisons and be a part of our growth and success in the Convenience sector! Together, we tackle business challenges, enhance our performance and unlock the true potential of our data to drive forward the supply chain function.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding area of the business and play a pivotal role to create great availability to our existing and new customers. 

This role is fast paced and you'll be at the heart of decision making, using data and influence to make improvement and change!

As a member of our team, you will take ownership for outstanding availability to our Wholesale partners and convenience shops in your designated product categories whilst delivering against stock and waste targets to minimise cash impacts to the business. The successful candidate will actively participate in running and improving the business team.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Working as part of the business team to provide excellent availability to wholesale partners and our own convenience business

  • Owning end to end product, data and performance for your categories

  • Owning the escalations at the right time where opportunities/risks arise in regards to product flow

  • Working collaboratively on strategic improvements for your categories such as: case size optimising, lead time optimisation, waste improvement, end to end productivity, lowest cost to serve, exception management

  • Developing strong collaborative relationships with the full business team and external stakeholders

  • Reporting accurately on KPI performance and communicate supply chain category performance out to the wider business in a clear, concise way to drive decision making and actions
  • Actively managing supplier base and negotiating with suppliers on service performance
 
This is role operates over a four day working week. Based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

About You

So that you are set for success, we are looking for a self-starter, who is an exceptional communicator with the ability to influence at all levels. You will work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it’s important that you are tenacious and strive for excellence. We're looking for people who are enthusiastic and ready to make a difference!

We are also looking for the following:

  • An understanding of retail business, processes and consumer demand

  • Understanding of Supply Chain principles (Stock, availability, Waste & Markdown, Seasonality and promotional impacts)

  • An appreciation of supply chain end to end operations and solutions

  • Previous experience of working with colleagues from all levels of the business, and excellent stakeholder management ability

  • Experienced in working at an advanced level in applications such as excel and Google

  • Proven delivery of projects and objectives to a schedule 
  • Experience in forecasting, data management and interpreting trend
