Accountant - Wakefield Manufaturing

We're recruiting for a Site Accountant at Wakefield Manufacturing, our unique 28,000 square foot Rathbones bakery that offers something to suit just about every taste. You will support the delivery of company-wide transactions and processes within the Finance function at the logistics depot to support the strategic objectives and maintain financial control. You'll ensure accurate finances to support business decision making, ensuring that your thinking is customer first in all aspects of your role, improving processes and outputs through simplifying tasks.

Some of you key duties will include:

• Provide financial information to management to support financial reporting, control, transaction processing and decision making. Provide reporting and periodic operational reviews.

• Provide cover for Finance Manager if/when required Influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.

• Provide variance analysis and trending techniques to measure performance against budget, forecasts and business cases.

Rathbones is our only bakery which means it’s always incredibly busy. Our 400 strong team works 24/7 to produce 47 different products, from hot cross buns and seeded loaves to delicious orange and cranberry muffins, crumpets, pancakes, naans, pittas, and more.

For this role, we're looking for someone who:

• Thrives in a fast paced, operational environment where you can add value and enhance reporting and controls

• Holds an Accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent).

• Can demonstrate experience of business partnering with stakeholders across finance but also from other operational divisions.
