We’re looking for a Food Services Specialist to join Morrisons to help drive the performance and growth of a new venture, our Online Food Delivery service aka ‘The Final Mile’. In this role you’ll ensure this channel of business remains commercially viable across all Food Service formats, whilst operating as efficiently as possible and ensuring Morrisons brand guidelines and values are consistently met.
You’ll work within the Food Services team whilst managing cross-functionality between commercial, operational, supply chain and NPD, whilst also liaising closely with stores on key communications, all to determine the range we offer our customers. Managing a commercially viable P&L is essential in this role, having a clear plan, scaling it and ensuring it is delivered to agreed timescales.
As well as this, you’ll also manage the relationship of key accounts we hold in this space, such as Deliveroo, Just Eat and any other future partnerships, helping to deliver strong customer ratings with each brand.
Your specific responsibilities in this role will include:
● Delivery on agreed KPIs with each provider and ensuring Quality, Speed of Service and Price all align to Morrisons values
● Gathering customer insight working alongside CI team to ensure offer is relevant and targeting right customer groups
● Ensure all operating guidance allows colleagues to operate the offer in the most efficient way and with a focus on great quality
● Responsible for all retail engagement ensuring all colleagues are clear on their part in making this new business a success, being the first point of contact for field team on queries
● Listening and responding to colleague community and facebook feedback, providing advice and best practice
● Responsible for all operational guidance/how to guides
● Defining correct way for products to travel and in what packaging
Ensuring colleagues have all relevant equipment, tools and resource to deliver the offer
● Define the labour model required to deliver the service
● Ensure all relevant central stakeholders are clear on their part in operating the offer ie. tech, supply etc. and holding them to account for their delivery
● Work with partners to ensure Morrisons is marketed on their channels in the right way
● Work closely with the finance team to produce relevant and timely reporting to ensure the initiative is on track and profit maximised
● Drive performance through regular and user friendly reporting directed at retail
● Analyse competition and generating ideas to drive sales on a continual basis
● Work alongside marketing and commercial to ensure volume is driven through price, offer and relevant promotions
● Agree sales targets weekly with finance and commercial times to drive relevant supply of goods
