The successful candidate will actively lead the Safe & Legal and Security agenda for the South West with support from two Compliance Specialists. The objective is to support the safeguarding of our colleagues, customers and assets. You’ll also focus on driving continuous improvement which will require you to report and communicate key metrics for Food Safety, Health & Safety, Trading Standards and Crime & Security. The role will have to work closely with the Operational teams who will be implementing our safe systems and processes on a daily basis.
Role Measurement:

Support the development & embedding of the strategic plan for achieving strong Compliance - to drive standards and reduce risk

Use business data to assess risk, flag trends with the business & direct resource accordingly

Support Retail on incident and accident management with involvement in the most serious incidents and monitoring of retail compliance on all others

Coach retail teams to deliver Legal and procedural compliance across Safe & Legal and Loss Prevention

Support improvement plans for our worst performing stores to reduce risk and deliver compliance across store processes & physical equipment

Support the design and delivery of an upskilling programme for Retail

Leadership designed to engage, train and embed improved management processes

Improve Shrink performance within their region and across the business

Recommendations to continuously improve Loss Prevention process

Lead a team of Regional Specialists to drive Safe & Legal and Crime & Security compliance across the estate
