About The Role

We're currently recruiting for an Accountant to join our team at our Logistics site in Sittingbourne.

Reporting into the Logistics Finance Manager you'll support the delivery of company-wide transactions and processes within the Finance function at the logistics depot to support the strategic objectives and maintaining financial control. You'll ensure accurate finances to support business decision making, ensuring that your thinking is customer first in all aspects of your role, improving processes and outputs through simplifying tasks.

Some of you key duties will include:

Provide financial information to management to support financial reporting, control, transaction processing and decision making.
Provide reporting and periodic operational reviews
Provide cover for Finance Manager if/when required
Influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives
Provide variance analysis and trending techniques to measure performance against budget, forecasts and business cases.

About You

Knowledge

A professional qualification of CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent
Knowledge of financial accounting, purchasing and management systems

Skills

Attention to detail
An ability to deliver in a complex, fast paced environment
Excellent analytical thinking and numerical skills
Excellent Microsoft Excel or Google sheets skills
Good verbal communication skills, ability to articulate financial data in a clear and transparent way

Sittingbourne Depot -This ambient warehouse in South East England covers 900,000 square feet. That’s seven kilometres of aisles to walk down.

As well as delivering to 86 stores, our team picks products for our online fulfilment centre in Erith and wholesale customers as far away as Hong Kong. On top of that, our 24/7 operation provides our Latimer and Willow Green warehouses with stock for a further 145 stores. Here, our team includes 200 LGV drivers.
